Important Notice
  • Shipping depends on vessel schedule and space availability for your destination.
  • Import duties, customs clearance, destination charges, taxes, inspections, storage, demurrage, detention, quarantine, fumigation, and destination terminal charges are not included.
  • Customers must verify destination import regulations before shipping. Vehicle age, model year, title, and other restrictions may apply.
  • Payment terms are prepaid prior to shipment.
  • A valid vehicle title is required for export.
  • Vehicles must be empty unless otherwise approved in writing.
  • Electric and hybrid vehicles may be subject to carrier restrictions and additional fees.
  • Cargo is not insured unless insurance is selected and added.
  • GENERAL TERMS
  • All pricing must be verified by our sales department before final confirmation.
  • Rates may change until booking is confirmed and payment is received.
  • Rates are based on the cargo details provided by the customer and may be revised if the cargo differs from what was declared.
  • Port receiving, loading, storage, and terminal charges are for the customer's account.
  • Cargo remaining at the port beyond the terminal's free storage period may incur storage, handling, administrative, and other related charges.
  • Cargo not collected within the destination terminal's free storage period may be subject to storage charges, administrative fees, disposal costs, auction fees, or other charges permitted by local regulations.
  • Cancelled orders may be subject to cancellation fees, administrative fees, carrier penalties, storage charges, inland transportation charges, and other costs already incurred.
  • Weather, port congestion, vessel delays, customs holds, inspections, government actions, civil unrest, labor disputes, natural disasters, and similar events may affect pricing, availability, schedules, and transit times.
  • OPERATING CONDITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Cargo must be clean, operational, and presented in safe working condition.
  • Inoperable equipment is not accepted.
  • Self-propelled units must have a factory-installed battery kill switch or master shutoff switch. Cargo may be rejected at the owner's expense if not properly equipped.
  • If cargo develops mechanical issues while at the port terminal, the customer must arrange and pay for an approved mechanic to repair the cargo on site or remove the cargo from the port. All related costs are for the customer's account.
  • Cargo exceeding carrier limits or requiring special handling may require a special quotation.
  • FUEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Cars and SUVs must have at least 25% fuel capacity unless otherwise instructed by the terminal or carrier.
  • Fuel additives required for winter operations in Northern Europe from November through February must be supplied by the shipper.
  • PERSONAL EFFECTS
  • Personal goods and personal effects are not permitted inside vehicles.
  • Spare parts, loose items, tools, household goods, and undeclared cargo are not permitted inside shipped units.
  • VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Customers must provide accurate dimensions, weight, and cargo descriptions. Additional charges may apply if carrier, terminal, or customs inspections determine the cargo differs from the information provided.
  • Customers must provide a working key for all self-propelled cargo. Cargo may be rejected if a working key is not provided.
  • Vehicle alarm systems should be disabled prior to delivery. GPS trackers, immobilizers, and anti-theft devices must not interfere with cargo handling operations.
  • Cargo with active fuel, oil, hydraulic, coolant, or other fluid leaks may be rejected by the terminal or carrier.
  • Customers are encouraged to photograph cargo before delivery to the port. Royal Shipping Lines is not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, mechanical defects, rust, corrosion, or undisclosed conditions.
  • CUSTOMS & IMPORT COMPLIANCE
  • Import regulations vary by country.
  • Customers are responsible for verifying import eligibility, age restrictions, title requirements, environmental regulations, customs requirements, and destination country regulations before shipping.
  • Royal Shipping Lines is not responsible for cargo refused entry by destination authorities.
