• Inspection & documentation: Every shipment is subject to inspection. Detailed inventories in English, proper forms (e.g. customs CF‑3299, bill of lading), and ID/proof of residency or permit are essential

• Household goods: Items owned and used for over 1 year typically duty-free; new household items are taxed as use tax if not personally used
